Nails: NOTD Crush On You!

Hello Beauties,

Happy Valentine's Week!! Is that even a thing? LOL

Today's post is a NOTD ( nail of the day) post. The NOTD is Crush On You from 365 Days of Color. Crush On You is a polish Sunny was selling last year with her Valentine's Day grab bags. So along with this beautiful limited polish, I received some other goodies, too. I was excited to get this package, but since I was freshly pregnant around this time last year, I couldn't really enjoy my grab bag. The scent of the goodies and the polish really made me sick, but now they smell Amazing!!

ANYWHO, back to the NOTD!! Just in time for Valentine's Day:

365 Days Of Color Waterlily LE

Today is a quick NOTD post, Sunny over at 365 Days of Color released a limited edition polish as a thank you to her fans for reaching 3,000 facebook likes. Waterlily is a grey base with gorgeous blue shimmer. It also has pink, blue and green glitters throughout. Waterlily is definitely a one of a kind polish. Sunny has a creative mind when it comes to her polishes and she does a very good job of mixing and making new ideas.

Waterlily is gorgeous. You can wear it as a one coater:

Or a two coater:

I haven't decided if I like it better with one coat or two. Either way, I think it is a great polish. I had no issues applying it. The glitters came out on the nail without fishing for them, that is always a plus to me.

Check out the blue shimmer in Waterlily:
(Picture slightly blurred to see the shimmer)

What do you think of Waterlily? Were you lucky enough to snag one of these limited edition polishes?

365 Days of Color can be found on Facebook for more info.

365 Days of Color: End of the Rainbow Collection

Today, I'm am very excited to bring you two new colors by 365 Days of Color End of the Rainbow Collection. I was very excited to receive Too Pink to Function and Glittercide! How adorable are those names. Both were easy to work with and I had no application issues.

Glittercide

Glittercide is a colorful glitter top coat. It has small multi-colored glitters that include red, blue, green, gold and silver.  Glittercide has great coverage. I never had to fish for glitter. The Glitter was on the brush with no issues at all.

Pictures show Glittercide over OPI Strawberry Margarita:

Glittercide can be used on its own or with a base color.

Too Pink To Function

Too Pink to Function is love! I adore this polish. I cannot stop looking at my nails. They truly are gorgeous.  Too Pink to Function is a pink base with blue shimmer, different glitter shapes and colors that range from blue, green, red, orange and purple. Too Pink to Function is definitely a girly-girl's dream polish!!

The pictures below show two coats of Too Pink To Function and no top coat. My husband said my nails look like candy :-).

365 Days of Color review

I'm Bringing you the first Collection of polishes from Sanaz at 365 Days or Color. She has 5 Polishes in this collection: Funfetti, Cotton Candy, Summer Dream, Explosion and Old Time Movie. I've already showed you guys Old Time Movie HERE.

The first one we'll discuss is Summer Dream. Summer Dream is a milky light blue base color with smaller hex, bar and regular glitter in a rainbow of colors. This is a very summery color. It make you think of the ocean. I love it. The formula was a great one and the application was smooth. I have nothing bad to say about this one.

Summer Dream:

(Natural Light)

(Artificial Light)

The Second one I want to tell you guys about is Funfetti! The name is just so cute and fun to say. I fell in love with this one. It applied so smoothly in two coats and was gorgeous!! I love this one... I think I said that already!! ;-) Take a look for yourself.

Funfetti:

Funfetti has a white pearl base and colorful glitter throughout. It's so light and beautiful. It has a elegant, yet fun look!

Cotton Candy is up next! Cotton candy is a white base slightly darker white than Funfetti. Maybe I should say that Candy Candy is a little more opaque than Funfetti.

It has Blue and Pink hex glitters throughout. It looks so beautiful in the bottle and I really wanted that to translate onto my nail. Since the white is very opaque in 2 coats the glitters got lost when applied to the nail :-(. Cotton Candy didn't have a smooth application like the rest of the collection. You have to make sure you let the first coat completely dry before applying a second coat. The formula makes it a little difficult.

I'd still wear this polish although it is a little difficult to work with, I like it!!

Cotton Candy:

so pretty!!

The last polish of the collection is Explosion! Explosion is quite unique. She adds an assortment of colors of glitters with different shapes and sizes. With one stroke you get tons of glitter on the brush. You can layer this as a top coat if you like. I decided to show you guys the way it looks with no base color and I really like it!

Explosion:
Love in a bottle!!

(Artificial light and flash)

(flash no light)

This is the first Collection from 365 Days Of Color. She will be opening again on May 16th with her new collection, but you will still be able to pick up these goodies. She'll open up on Big Cartel. To get more information visit her website or Facebook.

What is a must have for you from the above collection?

Thanks for Reading,
xoxo -Tamala

Rock-on Red with Old Time Movie

Orly Rock-On Red is more of a Hot Pink creme. I love the color. It looks red, but hot pink depending on the lighting. I think it's perfect for Spring and Summer. It's a very warm color that my 2 year old picked out at Sally's for me. He has great taste!

The formula on this was good, but it pooled a little at the cuticles and I had to do some cleaning up. I wished it was just a little thicker. Check out how pretty this creme Reddish-hot pink is:

I wanted to add a little edge to this manicure and the first thing that came to mind was Sanaz's 365 Days of Color Old Time Movie! This is a black and white shredded glitter top coat. I loved the look of it. Here it is in the bottle:

Isn't it Lovely? The formula on this was good as well I had no issues getting the shreds of glitter out of the bottle. I was very happy with Old Time Movie. Sanaz did a great job on this one! (I have the others in this collection in posts to come.) :-)

This is how the look together:

What do you think of the combination? Do you have either?

You can find Sanaz 365 Days of Color by clicking it. She will be back open soon with her first collection plus a new collection.

Orly can be purchased at drugstores and Sally Beauty Supply.
